Born and raised in Cleveland OH, Carlton Dean III is no stranger to hard work. While attending Hiram College, Dean became the 11th leading scorer in Hiram finishing his career with 1324 points. In 2018 Dean was inducted into the William H. Hollinger Hall of Fame. Dean graduated from Hiram College with a Bachelors’ in Communications and Studio Art.
After graduation Dean went on to play professional basketball abroad. His basketball career landed him various contracts in Spain and the Netherlands. His participation in the international sports arena taught him the value of teamwork and perseverance which are key traits in building relationships in corporate America.
Following a successful basketball career, Dean, landed a role with Penske Truck Leasing, where he was able to hone his leadership and sales skills.
During his time at Penske, Dean saw a lack of minority representation in the transportation and logistics industry. As a result, He co-founded Evolve Global Logistics and Evolve Global Transportation. Hoping to change the industry Dean works to create a diverse environment where the customers, drivers, and staff feel supported and heard.
Regardless of the industry, Dean is always looking for ways to do more. He is currently serving on the Local Advisory Board for U.S. Bank. In addition, he is a member of the Board of Directors for the Ohio MSDC and is the MBEIC Vice-Chair for Central Ohio. Carlton Dean was also the 2019 winner of the Ohio MSDC President’s Award. When he is not changing the world He is home with his wife of 5 years, Brianne, and their 3 children. He is an avid golfer and still enjoys a good game of basketball.
